Rebar coil round steel round steel
- Round steel, rebar, rebar, coiled coil, and coiled round bar can all be called rebar, excluding steel wire.
- Round steel and coiled round bar are referred to the same way.
Rounded round bar is divided into high-strength wire and standard wire. The most commonly used type is coiled round bar, often abbreviated as "coil." It is generally supplied as round steel with a thickness of less than 10 mm, rolled into a coil.
- It's difficult to distinguish between coils and rebar: hot-rolled steel bars.
The differences between coils, rebar, and round steel bars are easy to distinguish. Coil coils and rebar are chemically treated to produce deep ribs when they leave the factory.
- Both coiled steel and rebar have ribs and look nearly identical, with virtually no discernible difference.
Rebar sizes are typically φ9 or larger and are significantly harder than standard wire rod rebar, so they typically come in long, straight strips.
To put it bluntly, rebar generally cannot be coiled, while coiled steel can be cut to any desired size, making it possible to coil it.
- Rebar is divided into three types:
- Grade 1 rebar (HPB235) is typically plain steel, commonly known as wire rod, with 6-12 rounds being the most common. It is commonly used in construction for stirrups, slab reinforcement, stirrups, wall ties, and more.
- Grade 2 rebar (HRB335) is threaded rebar, with diameters of 12-25 mm being the most common. It is used in beams, columns, shear walls, and other structures. Larger diameters are rarely used in industrial and civil engineering, but are often used in large concrete volumes.
- Grade 3 rebar (HRB400 and above) is also threaded rebar, with diameters similar to Grade 2 rebar. It offers higher strength but also comes at a higher price. It is rarely used in industrial and civil engineering, but is often used in specialized construction.
Rebar produced by reputable manufacturers will have rolling markings at each thread interval, indicating the manufacturer and diameter.
